Encoder strip
Encoder strips provide the fine positioning reference used by inkjet printers to track the movement of the printhead carriage. Working with the encoder sensor, the strip enables the printer to detect carriage position and maintain accurate movement during printing.
Optical encoder strips are available in different widths, lengths, and line densities for various printer systems. A clean, undamaged strip is important for accurate carriage positioning and consistent print results, making proper replacement essential when the original strip is worn or contaminated.
